This circuit uses an Infra-Red sensor between the IR transmitter and receiver. If there is an interruption between the IR LEDs, the sensor senses and sends a corresponding electrical output signal to the amplifier. The amplifier circuit results in further amplification of signals. The amplified signal is given to the comparator. The comparator compares the incoming signal with a reference. The 555 IC is acting as a timer to produce a high pulse for a particular time period. The driver circuit is used for providing sufficient input voltage of the relay.
